It is always a privilege and honor to blog about someone I know and admire so well that I'd forget my name whenever I'm with him or her.
Eh, don't wring the wrong neurons.
I'm talking about a very good friend of mine in college. A funny, witty, one-of-a-kind pal for more than two years now.I'm talking about a SHE.
Curious?Hmmm...
SHE's none other than...
RIA JANE ARNAIZ REMEDIOS
WHOOPS!
That's Luwiez.

Wait....

Buffering...

Hahaha!

TADDAH!

SHE just had her birthday, you see. And we celebrated it with an adventurous theme: pirates!

3. Guts and Glory are her assets.
4. Loves Corneto. For life.
5. A fighter!

9. Her pink, cute cheeks. (High-five mga brad!)
10. "A spiderweb is incomplete without the spider." This really made me laugh. Hard. XD

15. Has fun up on her sleeves!
16. Vain.
17. She's my friend. Why wouldn't I like her?
And lastly...

Two weeks of unrelenting summer classes finished! Two more to go, plus a week duty! waaaaaaaaah...
It's like I never got a break...
tsktsk.
Anyway, last April 3 we celebrated Jem's (Jeremy) birthday in MoOon Cafe in IT Park. This guy is one of my group mates in our RLE (Related Learning Experience), and we've been on the same group since we started our duty. Hey, girls out there, check this guy out..! A Snow White in a man's flesh! wahahaha... He graduated from Sacred Heart Jesuits, and yup, matinga jud ka ngano naa siya sa Cebu Normal. He may look like that, with those stunning hazel eyes and a goofy grin, but he's a good friend. And a funny guy too.

He's that blue one.

Oh! I forgot to add...
Sorry girls.
He's already taken.

I could remember one duty night in Vicente Sotto...
We were just done with our routine that night, and I just came out of the nurse's station to fetch my patient's chart when I met him on my way out. Our clinical instructor (Sir B) came out of nowhere and laughed at him. I turned to my group mate to ask what was going on when our CI said something like this,
"Ngano man ka, Lucero? Tamaa nimo uie." (What's with you, Lucero? You look pretty weird.)
I took a second look at Jem. He was wearing a wide weird smile that did not seem to fall off his face. PLASTERED on his face actually.
"Di, sir. Kung cheerful ko sir, mu-cheer up pud ako patient. Lain man pud kung mag.mug-ot ko, di ba sir?" (No, sir. If I become cheerful, my patient will be cheerful too. It won't do him any good if I'm not in a happy disposition, right, sir?"
He flashed his wacky smile again.
Sir and I laughed this time.

It's great having someone like him as a friend. :D
Happy birthday, Jem! Belated, I mean. :D

Why Balloons don't run Out of Fashion

I've been here for quite a time

Waiting to make some sense in this mess
I try to hide all the things you need not to see
I try to flash a smile when there seems no reason for me
Can I move alongside with you?
Will you ever allow me to?

Why can’t the hinges of ur heart
Open its only door for me?
Am I really meant to be torn apart
And be crushed in my heart’s elegy?

It’s time to release the strings
And bid the balloon goodbye
Have to let go even if it hurts like hell
for I know I can go on if I try
but how can I? How can I
When all this time you've been my lullaby?

I don’t know where to go
I don’t know what to do
Should I continue to grasp in the darkness
Or just tear ur billet deux?

Would someday ever come,
When hope continues to flicker & goes on undone?
or Would U ever hear me say,
When finally my yellow balloons have flown away,
‘Thank God this tranquil heart of mine
Has at last convinced U out of my mind?’

But would that ever come? Would my strings
Fly free on the clouds, soaring high?
Or would these balloons where your name is carved
Be clung in my fingers as I cry?
