Today...
...is my birthday.
19th birthday.
Weeee. ♥

Well, first things first.
I started my day doing my NCP at 2 in the morning. And then I prepared for my duty at 3 am (my shift was 6am-2pm). My Mom greeted me first, giving me a kiss on my forehead. She can't quite believe that I'm now a year older. Hehe...
I was thinking positively ever since I woke up. It's my day after all. I was assigned in Ward 9 where critically ill patients are waiting to be taken cared of...so I have to be positive and channel good spirits for them to feel that there is still life to look forward to. But that day, when we were still doing our rounds, a patient of my classmate died. Arrest. Then postmortem.
I looked at my recently admitted comatosed patient. She was not very well. The doctor knew. Her daughter knew.
I knew too.
I prayed that she won't die. Not now. Not now.

But she did.

Her agony was not prolonged...
but her daughter's pain was.
Mine too.

I learned, despite that inevitable event in my shift. I realized that with the gift of life, another year, that God gave to me, someone also passes away in order to GO BACK to HIM. It's a part of nature. It's balance. Homeostasis.
I was sad, yes, but I did not want to dwell on sad feelings too much. I thank all those who greeted me...
THANK YOU!
Mingaw man, pero I still thank you for bombarding my wall with greetings! I enjoyed replying on your posts... And that made my day complete.

THANK YOU!
♥

Love lots,
Blaise
Now 19 ♥

It is always a privilege and honor to blog about someone I know and admire so well that I'd forget my name whenever I'm with him or her.
Eh, don't wring the wrong neurons.
I'm talking about a very good friend of mine in college. A funny, witty, one-of-a-kind pal for more than two years now.I'm talking about a SHE.
Curious?Hmmm...
SHE's none other than...
RIA JANE ARNAIZ REMEDIOS
WHOOPS!
That's Luwiez.

Wait....

and there are 18 things I like about her:

1. She's funny. that's irrefutable. :)

3. Guts and Glory are her assets.
4. Loves Corneto. For life.
5. A fighter!
6. God-fearing. :)
7. Writes Unwritten stuff. Yeah, she goes a step ahead whenever she writes her thoughts down.
8. She's got a blog for no. 7!
9. Her pink, cute cheeks. (High-five mga brad!)

A nurse...

Yup, been doing some Nursing stuff over the past weeks. That's why I wasn't able to blog for a few weeks...a busy, busy 'baka'. Hehe...
My last post was Jem's birthday. I want to blog about the other debuts I've attended for the months of April and June, but first I have to secure some pictures. :D
1. Cherssy's Debut
2. April's celebration in McDo
3. Jam's debut in Liloan
4. Monece's debut in Fort San Pedro
I'll blog on them one by one in a few days. hehe.

Last week we had our duty in VSMMC Ward 1 (Gyne Ward), now for 8 hours. Yep, our duty was pm:2pm-10pm. It was our first time to duty for 8 hours, since our first duty month (February) was just for four hours. Waaaah, it was GGB! Imagine, we had the whole ward by ourselves during our shift, and the shift before us has 3 schools in it! Oh yeah, GGB.
But it was fun anyway. :D
One of my patients, who has been there for more than a month, was unable to bathe herself ever since she was operated. She was extremely grateful when I provided cleansing bed bath. Char...
There are so many things that happened during our shift. I have done things that i haven't done before, like regulating an IV, changing the IV bottle, KSS, draining the FBC, eliminating catheters, and the like. I was delighted by my experiences that week. The whole group was. :D

PS: i like the anime nurse. So cute... :D

25.4.09

Two weeks of unrelenting summer classes finished! Two more to go, plus a week duty! waaaaaaaaah...
It's like I never got a break...
tsktsk.
Anyway, last April 3 we celebrated Jem's (Jeremy) birthday in MoOon Cafe in IT Park. This guy is one of my group mates in our RLE (Related Learning Experience), and we've been on the same group since we started our duty. Hey, girls out there, check this guy out..! A Snow White in a man's flesh! wahahaha... He graduated from Sacred Heart Jesuits, and yup, matinga jud ka ngano naa siya sa Cebu Normal. He may look like that, with those stunning hazel eyes and a goofy grin, but he's a good friend. And a funny guy too.

He's that blue one.

Oh! I forgot to add...
Sorry girls.
He's already taken.

I could remember one duty night in Vicente Sotto...
We were just done with our routine that night, and I just came out of the nurse's station to fetch my patient's chart when I met him on my way out. Our clinical instructor (Sir B) came out of nowhere and laughed at him. I turned to my group mate to ask what was going on when our CI said something like this,
"Ngano man ka, Lucero? Tamaa nimo uie." (What's with you, Lucero? You look pretty weird.)
I took a second look at Jem. He was wearing a wide weird smile that did not seem to fall off his face. PLASTERED on his face actually.
"Di, sir. Kung cheerful ko sir, mu-cheer up pud ako patient. Lain man pud kung mag.mug-ot ko, di ba sir?" (No, sir. If I become cheerful, my patient will be cheerful too. It won't do him any good if I'm not in a happy disposition, right, sir?"
He flashed his wacky smile again.
Sir and I laughed this time.

It's great having someone like him as a friend. :D
Happy birthday, Jem! Belated, I mean. :D

11.12.08

I really want to place the pictures I've taken during my birthday, but sad to say, I can't upload them because of technical problems. But anyway,
THANKS FOR ALL THOSE WHO GREETED!
I'm now officially 17!!
Oh bless me.

Oh yeah. One year to go and I'll be officially an adult!
One more year of waiting, and I could have my license and drive the car. One more year and I can do lots of independent things... Char. But with parental guidance japon uie.
Hihi.
Kalagot lang, we had NSTP! The weather was not behaving very well in the morning and I really REALLY didn't want to go but then I was looking forward to our notes so taddah...!
In the afternoon Cherssy and I went to the church together and attended the 2:30 mass. After that we went to my house and ate IT with gusto. *Chuckle* Just kidding.
Well, what we really did was just we had a little gathering, me, my family and some relatives, and a few neighbors. I quite regretted the idea of not inviting more friends, though I tried but then due to some constraints and stuff, they weren't able to come.
It was a happy event, with lots of food and ice cream and cake, but it would have been happier if my Dad was here. I understood, though. He's on the other side of the globe, so there's nothing I could do. When we talked he also wished to be here, but hey, he's still in the middle of adjustments, with his new job and environment. As much as he wanted to be here in the Philippines, there's nothing he could do but just hang on and sacrifice for a little while.
I'd bet we'll have the saddest Christmas of our lives...
But anyway, before the night was concluded last Sunday, Cherssy gave me my present! Weeee! Actually, the 'box' came from my closest circle of friends (Chers, Danielle and Shayne) but it was Cherssy who gave it to me personally. After hours of little 'surveys' and some 'kuti-kuti' and 'palusot', she gave the box she was bringing before we left the house. And wow! I got a USB! thanks guys! I also got three blank CDs, a clown fish stuff toy (which, according to Cherssy, was ANDREW from my story. *snicker*), and two very cute slings for the USB. One was a pretty black sling, the other one was a very pink girly stuff. they also gave me a small, blue Oriental pearl mirror and! mind you, a very blue girlish headband.
Nah, mabayot jud ko ani.
*laughs*
And did i mention that the box had some confetti 'arte' or something?
Thanks jud kaayo guys! I mean... Wow, words are not enough! thanks to Mdm. Eviota pud, who also contributed to the gift. Thanks jud!
I was really touched when she also gave me a letter she made herself. I really like the connection of characters, how she related them to me. Char. but bitaw, i really like it. Thanks a million!!

I also would like the people who made the little celebration possible:
To my parents and my siblings! Thank you!
to Tito Dan, for my ice cream
To our Kuyas, for the cake and the foods
to our neighbors, thanks pud.
to Tita Net, for her greetings from London.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
^u^

One thing about October is Jeth's birthday.
oh, not the REAL Jeth. (Hi to Jeth! I mean, Pearl.) No. The Jeth I'm talking about is the main character of my series. I can't put her age here, coz in my story I didn't specify her year of birth. But really, does it matter?

I like her. Harhar. Not that I'm the one who introduced her to the outside world. It's because she's tough. She's someone you couldn't fool by anything. Yeah. She's intelligent! Not only that, but she's very very...cool. Aw, listen to yourself, Bem! Anyway, yeah. She's cool and yup, she's got looks too, only she doesn't see herself like that.
I want to say a lot of things about her, but I'll be spoiling if I go overboard! Hehe...

But there's one thing I can't deny about her:

She's one hell of a tough girl.

Happy birthday Jeth!

(I really hope I can write soon. But I need to have a USB to save my files. Our computer's precariously on the brink of a breakdown. Waaah, I'll scream real loud if one day I'd come home and have a deader computer than any other day!!)

*I'm addled on what to do...
Internet connection at last! I've been holding a grudge on My DSL for holding our connection too long for three whole days! Lookie, i wasn't able to celebrate my 1st YEAR ANNIVERSARY in the BlogWorld! Oh yeah, I just turned one! (yippee! plus fireworks!)

One year... One year!
Wow. Could hardly believe time passed so fast. A year? I didn't actually think I could last that long. But then, I just turned one, remember? Char...
Good thing before our net was temporarily busted together with the electricity (which, fortunately, didn't last for three days but only for a night.) I was able to change my layout. Simple with an easy access of everything.
But before anything else, I'd like to thank these people:
*my Links! especially:
1. MiKyu- You've helped a lot. And I thank you for dropping in my site even once in a while! And hey, Kyu, I also like the Simple Plan video. Not just like it, but I love it! It really reached its target, uhuh.
2. Eka Mika- You've helped a lot in my site! Thanks!
3. Pat2- To my friend in Canada, thanks for your thoughts! I always drop by in your site. thanks for doing the same!
*and to my readers! Those classmates of mine who knew my site...Thanks! thanks for your compliments and support! You have no idea how much I appreciate them...

You guys are my inspiration!

Arigatou Gozaimasu!

Setting: Classroom. Everything was in slovenly disarray. Professor sits rather comfortably on a chair beside the wall, his feet placed on the armchair. Writer stands beside the door, leaning, with her arms across her chest. It's her birthday.

Writer: Hey Prof!
Prof: (raises his head) What?
Writer: Are you going out this lunch?
Prof: Yeah. I'll be eating outside. Why?
Writer: Can I ask for a favor?
Prof: Favor? What is it?
Writer: Can you buy me Swirly Bits*?
Prof: ...?
Writer: I haven't treated you years ago, remember? It's time for me to treat you exactly on the same day. Mamawi ko.
Prof: (looks at Writer for a moment then turns away) Ha...? Ayaw lang uie. I'll pity you.
Writer: (stares at Prof in disbelief) Oh ok. It's up to you. Librehan nuon, nya di gusto. Ikaw gud. (turns away from Prof, leaning her head on the door with a heavy heart, understanding what was just said.)

*food name changed

ok, now is my birthday, December 7. And i thank God for everything.
My sister first greeted me. (last year, she greeted me three days after. wahaha... but it's all ready done. i forgave her na.)
Well, wish no. ten happened. And thanks to my ever dearest closest circle of friends. they have been there for me and with the pressure all day because of the exams, at the end of the day, they surprised me with a Christmas wrapped gift containing a very nice yet durable violet slippers from Reva, a golden dotted pouch, and hankies! And then a mocha cake from Anita's! wow, yeah!
i treated them Jobi... just burger and rocky road sundae.
and here's the funny part: Mamaw was with us!
It was a surprise. And it was so fun that i didn't notice that time has flown so fast!

Happy 16th birthday to me!

27.11.07

The only thing that keeps me going is the sight of a promising light at the end of my struggles as I live by the challenge called LIFE.

Christmas is looming. But before that I'd have to face my day!
Well, who wouldn't have wishes? I sure have, in fact, about a dozen lists!
But I'd share to you some of my wishes for my 16th birthday here on our beloved earth.
Here they are:

  1. Original, durable, light and a handy Badminton racket*
  2. black ink for our printer (so that i can print my series! it's been a long time since I've printed my second episode, and my readers are waiting for the third one! ' IK-TO38 ')*
  3. Penelope (a witty and interesting book!)*
  4. apples
  5. mangoes (ripe or still green. or dried! It's a craving...)
  6. sky flakes onion chives
  7. tikoy delicacy
  8. Gatorade or Nescafe in can (mocha) or Milo (any size will do)
  9. G-tech pen
  10. cake or brownies (?)**
*I know it's quite impossible. but it's a wish, remember? Or would it be nice to add 'telescope'?
** I can do away with that.

Great! But I'm not 100% hoping for all of these to come true. But c'mon, they're wishes. and wishes are wishes. If these are meant to stay that way, 'sigh' , that's ok. well, not so ok. but still ok. hehehe... Bitaw, pero mas choi kung matinuod, di bah?
