A NEW YEAR AHEAD...
2010

2009 has been a great, flabbergasting year for me. So many things happened, just name it. Discoveries were made, Words were spoken, Actions were done, Thoughts were mulled over. Blast. Fireworks. Innocuous remarks and sharp feedbacks. Laughters and tears. Friendships. Goodbyes. Stress. Meetings. Late-night studying. Or no study at all. Cramming. Naning mode. Anger. Pissed. Pooped. Alive and Lively. Procrastination. Lazy. Relax. Requirements. Failures. Successes. Chills. Marks. Fun group mates. Videos. Shooting. Endless, sleepless nights. Duty. Caps. Control. McDo mania. First times. Extreme. Heart-stopping adventures. Yummy buffets. Variety of birthday parties. Hoodies. Books. Badminton. Sports. Pain. Victories. Coincidences. The Unexpected...

Words are not enough to describe what a whirlwind that year was. But still, I am grateful, very thankful, for that year that taught me a lot of things, that made me discover more of myself and others, that made me test myself to my limits. Grateful for God for making me survive, though scathed and wounded but still alive and breathing and willing to face another year of challenges and surprises..

Here are the top 10 things that happened in 2009 that i'll never forget:
Capping and Badging
I am very proud to say that my batchmates and I already have our caps and badges last June. With the leadership of Ya RJ, we have managed the whole event ourselves and have awarded each one of us what we deserve. It was really busy, and i can still remember the days that ya and I were required to go to school even though it was our summer break. We did a lot of sacrificing...but they were worth it. :)
NSC
I never expected to be a part of it, not once. But when Ya approached me to run with him, I was baffled. I was just a silent one in school, never really showing some raffish flying colors. But when he suddenly asked me to join him, it dawned on me that perhaps I could try. I was hesitant at first, but when everybody came convincing me to do it, I decided to just try. Trying doesn't hurt anyway.
But it did, though not literally. It hurt not in pain, but of surprise of what the results showed. I won the position with Kuya as the gov, and boy, I didn't expect it. I never did.
But this challenge paved my way to discovering what CNU Nursing could show more than the excellence the college is known of. Within the walls of the office, powerful decisions and ideas are put into action in making nursing programs come to reality. The NSC can ameliorate what dragging and stressful CNU Nursing could be: by aiding character formation within the body of the college. I saw how busy and stressful and processed everything was before it began, how patience wavered and temper rose over some trivial matters regarding the Acquaintance party and the like, how every meeting could turn from affable and easygoing conversions to serious ones. It was not easy. Really, it was not easy.
I am thankful for the new found friends in the NSC, especially to Ate Asoy, who was ever the patient one. She held on to her cool even at times that panic should have gotten over (ahahahha!). She's a great role model, and I hope the next NSC President would also be the same as her: determined, patient and versatile. :)
And to Ya too. Thank you for introducing me the NSC. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you, ya. :)
EDGE COASTER RIDE IN CLUB ULTIMA
That was a big whoa! The greatest near-death experience in my life! Imagine yourself dangling (strapped to a seat, actually, but the degree of inclination can be adjusted) on the edge of the building on the 38th floor with nothing but your guts and spirits to make you finish the ride! It was fun, fun, fun!
DEBUTS
Monece's debut was the most ravishing debut I've ever attended. Mine? Nah, just a simple celebration with friends and family. Thanks to Ma jo, Tayo, Twin, Monece, Fat, Phoebe, Ya, Kuya Mon, and Dor, for that wonderful eat-out in Mang Inasal. To my Family, in one of the restaurants in ParkMall. To the people who greeted me, thank you. To Charot, Ma D and Shayne, I'm sorry we weren't able to meet for my birthday. One of these days...
COSPLAY
I didn't join, but my friends did. They wore anime costumes and portrayed their respective roles while interacting with the other cosplayers. And yeah, you got it right, I saw Kakashi! And that guy really portrayed his role well! It fit him! Weeee... XD
VIDEO-MAKING WHILE NO MCN LECTURE
That brought a lot of jitters and sleepless nights! I was not able to blog for the whole month because of the hectic schedule. We were pretty scared for our marks that semester... we did not have lecture, unlike the others! We were forced to push ourselves to the limits and put in every effort because we were put in the dark. But whew! Thank God we survived!
Thank you to 2D1: Fritz, Kay, Al, Fat, Alyssa, Jen, Mitch, Pat and Es2! You guys are the best!
FIRST TIME COMEDY BAR
22nd street!
I was still 17 when my relatives and I went to one. But as expected, I was asked if I was really legal because of my, erm, face. Ahahaah. I don't look old, kiddo. Ahahaha. The opposite, that's what they say. My younger brother was even with us, and they didn't ask him his age! Waaaaaa. hahahah...
LR/DR EXPERIENCE
Yes! 1st semester first experience! It was really early, but who the hell cares. Ahahahaha... It was fun! Especially with group 4! So kawaii babies and many struggling mothers... Era divertente!
CHN BUHISAN
The nature! The panting, the sweat, the mountains, the hiking! So love the paradise!
KARAOKE SESSIONS WITH FRIENDS AFTER STRESSFUL WEEKS
I have always been afraid of singing with a microphone. But I did not hesitate to grab one after those hectic and very stressful days of exams and lectures and duties. With my classmates and friends we blasted the days away with a number of karaoke sessions! Who the hell cares about your voice when everybody shouts and sings with you? So fun...
Just don't let me go solo, though. Ahahahaha..
