Today...
...is my birthday.
19th birthday.
Weeee. ♥

Well, first things first.
I started my day doing my NCP at 2 in the morning. And then I prepared for my duty at 3 am (my shift was 6am-2pm). My Mom greeted me first, giving me a kiss on my forehead. She can't quite believe that I'm now a year older. Hehe...
I was thinking positively ever since I woke up. It's my day after all. I was assigned in Ward 9 where critically ill patients are waiting to be taken cared of...so I have to be positive and channel good spirits for them to feel that there is still life to look forward to. But that day, when we were still doing our rounds, a patient of my classmate died. Arrest. Then postmortem.
I looked at my recently admitted comatosed patient. She was not very well. The doctor knew. Her daughter knew.
I knew too.
I prayed that she won't die. Not now. Not now.

But she did.

Her agony was not prolonged...
but her daughter's pain was.
Mine too.

I learned, despite that inevitable event in my shift. I realized that with the gift of life, another year, that God gave to me, someone also passes away in order to GO BACK to HIM. It's a part of nature. It's balance. Homeostasis.
I was sad, yes, but I did not want to dwell on sad feelings too much. I thank all those who greeted me...
THANK YOU!
Mingaw man, pero I still thank you for bombarding my wall with greetings! I enjoyed replying on your posts... And that made my day complete.

THANK YOU!

Love lots,
Blaise
Now 19 ♥

I found these funny love quotes online. Can't help but share them. :)

To be in love is merely to be in a state of perpetual anesthesia - to mistake an ordinary young woman for a goddess.

Love is the gross exaggeration of the difference between one person and everyone else.

George Bernard Shaw

The only true love is love at first sight; second sight dispels it.
Israel Zangwill

Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love. (Charlie Brown)
 Charles Schulz

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."
 Charles Schulz
I've been to Ward 9 before, but I just can't helpbut feel jitters for our next week's duty. There are a lot of factors, though, that made me feel this way. I just hope our CI and my groupmates will be in a good mood... I don't want that week to be ruined.

Oh, I gess it will be a long week.
Yeah, a long week.
It's December!
Christmas is in the air...
Delicious aroma wafts all around...
Gifts are waiting to be opened...
Happiness is grabbing us by the hand...
Weeee...
I lurve it. :)

20 Fun Things To Do On An Elevator While Bored
Next time you’re on an elevator and feel a little bored, liven up the moment with some of these insightful ideas. Guaranteed to make heads turn or your money back.

   1. When there’s only one other person in the elevator, tap them on the shoulder and then pretend it wasn’t you.
   2. Push the buttons and pretend they give you a shock. Smile, and go back for more.
   3. Call the Psychic Hotline from your cell phone and ask if they know what floor you’re on.
   4. Swat at flies that don’t exist.
   5. Grimace painfully while smacking your forehead and muttering, “Shut up, all of you, just shut up!”
   6. Crack open your briefcase or purse, and while peering inside, ask, “Got enough air in there?”
   7. Lay down a Twister mat and ask people if they’d like to play.
   8. Leave a box in the corner, and when someone gets on, ask them if they hear something ticking.
   9. Ask if you can push the button for other people, but push the wrong ones.
  10. Pretend you are a flight attendant and review emergency procedures and exits with the passengers.
  11. Stand silently and motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off.
  12. Stare, grinning at another passenger for a while, and then announce, “I have new socks on.”
  13. Draw a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passengers, “This is my personal space!”
  14. Fart loudly then exclaim “Was that you. There’s no way I could do that one because unfortunately mine don’t come out loud.”
  15. Before the elevator door opens shout “DING” and then laugh and say “beat you again Mr Elevator.”
  16. Stand really close to someone, sniffing them occasionally.
  17. Hire a labrador, wear sunglasses and repeatedly walk into the walls whilst pretending to not hear the other passenger’s direction.
  18. Drop a pen and wait until someone reaches to help pick it up, then scream, “that’s mine!”
  19. Hold the doors open and say you’re waiting for your friend. After a while, let the doors close and say, “Hi Greg. How’s your day been?”
  20. Stare at another passenger for a while, then announce in horror, “You’re one of THEM!” and back away slowly.

I love this scene! So nice! The best scene and musical piece... well, enjoy
The Very Potter Musical Act 1 Part 11!

"Granger Danger" Lyrics (by Darren Criss):

RON:
Here I am face to face
with a situation
I never ever thought Id see

strange how a dress
can take a mess
and make her nothing less than
beautiful to me

I feel like my eyes have been transfigured
something deep inside has changed
they've been open wide, but hold that trigger
this could mean . Danger

I'm falling in love, falling in love, falling in love
I could be falling in love, falling in love, falling in love
with Hermione Granger

DRACO:
WHAT? what the hell is this?
YOU expect me to sing about her?
don't care about her

it's just a little make up
Draco, Wake up
i'm mistaken

she--- is the hottest girl I've ever seen
now--- because she's like a girl I've never seen
don't know why---- i'd ever be so mean, this could mean DANGER!

I'm falling in love, falling in love, falling in love
I could be falling in love, falling in love, falling in love
With Hermione Granger.

MALFOY & RON: I WANNA LET HER KNOW....
MALFOY: I FEEL SO QUEEZY
MALFOY & RON: BUT I CAN'T LET IT SHOW....
RON: SHE'D LAUGH, POOR WEASLY
RON: COME ONRON
DRACO:DRACO
TOGETHER: You gotta let it go, you gotta let it go

TOGETHER:-------------------------------
------
MALFOY:
WHAT? what the hell is this?
i want to sing about her
sing about her

i want to make up
granger, wake up
ive been mistaken

she--- is the hottest girl I've ever seen
now--- beCAUSE she's like a girl I've never seen
don't know why---- i'd ever be so mean, this could mean DANGER!

RON:

I'm falling in love, falling in love, falling in love
I could be falling in love, falling in love, falling in love
With Hermione Granger.
With Hermione Grander.
With Hermione Granger.

 Top 10 Tips to Success

1. Take Risks - Do not be afraid to take risks.. where is the fun in that? If you want something, go for it! Do not try and justify every action you make. Sometimes, all you have to do is to take that big leap! We usually allow ourselves to settle at what is safe and secure and yet we end up wondering at all the “what if’s?” and “what could have been’s?” in life.
2. Make Opportunities - This is more logical than waiting for opportunity to knock on your door - which may or may never come.
3. Have a Plan - Always have a plan.. this is the best way to stay on track with your goals. Set a milestone which will provide as your visual in what you are working for, what you have successfully achieved, and what you need to do better.
4. Stay Motivated - When you’re too busy getting what you want you also exhaust all your energies with it and this becomes critical because this is usually the reason why we lose the battle. Half-way through, we get tired and lose the desire to go on. It is important to stay motivated. Remind yourself with the reasons as to why you are working hard.. read motivational quotes and articles. Assure yourself that every effort exerted will eventually pay-off in the long run.
5. Be Patient - Always remember that attaining goals almost always takes time. Be kind to yourself and the people around you because everything is actually a process in working your way up the ladder each day.
8. Reward yourself - As you surpass every milestone try and treat yourself for a job well done.
7. Do not Stop Learning - You may feel that you have already become an expert in your field when you’ve been working on it for so long. But this shouldn’t be the reason why you should stop learning. Keep innovating! New ideas and new ventures helps keep the fire burning!
8. Learn to Delegate - When you are getting close to your goals you will find out that there are many more things to do than hours in the day. Find someone to help take some of your load so you can focus on things that needs your full attention.
9. Raise your Standards - Always learn to “Step-up!”. Increase your standard and strive for more!
10. Be Thankful - Not only with your accomplishments but also with your trials and your failures. It will keep you humble, which in turn, will help you continue striving for success.

I believe in these tips a hundred percent. Sure, you have the potential to be very successful, but it all requires a lot of you in order to reach the top. It's not overnight luck. Your success all depends on your hands.
Yes, I want to succeed. I have to succeed. I must not give up. With proper honing and appropriate motivation, I can achieve anything. I have to believe in myself. If I won't, who will? If I won't I'll be left behind in murky waters, with my feet planted on the ground and my head drowned in pity and misery. Ain't that a sad thing?

It's all in the attitude.

DON"T GIVE UP!

I CAN BARELY WAIT!!
I admit... I'm bored.

Well, it's the feeling of having experienced a lot of hectic things-to-do and then all of a sudden there's nothing left to do that made me say that. Hmmm. As of now I've got no motivation yet for this semester. It makes me wonder... is this for me? I can't give up now, can I? No. I shouldn't give up.

To ease this boredom I began looking for crazy facts here on the internet.

The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time TV were Fred and Wilma Flintstone.

In Brazil, there's a species of cockroach that eats eyelashes, usually those of young children while they are asleep. (Wah!)

The microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket

The human eye blinks an average of 4,200,000 times a year

There are around 41,806 different spoken languages in the world today

62% of us pop our zits

85% of all Valentine's Day cards are purchased by women!

'Formicophilia' is the fetish for having small insects crawl on your genitals (ew.)

Yes, I guess there is a welcome party around the world. US, Europe and Asia are celebrating now because...

A new baby is born!!

Our Aunt Jeane gave birth to a healthy baby boy yesterday, November 8, 2010, there in England.
His name is Nathan (and I'm quite positive that his nickname will be Natnat. hahaha!).
Everybody's celebrating here, I tell you. Just so happy to have another offspring in Javar family.

We want to see you soon Nathan! Mwuah! When you visit us here in the Philippines, we won't be surprised to hear you speak in English twang. Hehe! :)

The semester going by so slowly...
And thankfully it ended.

Yes! First semester over! Semestral break over too! :(
I so looked forward to it! Time to relax... Chill... But with no computer...?

School's been pretty tough, with all those exams and defense and duties and requirements. Name them. But I'm not complaining. It was a crazy and worthwhile ride! Can't quite believe I've got three semesters left in college... Everything so fast that it blurs. But then, everything does move fast. We just can't let ourselves be left behind, right?

Hmmm...

How was my break? Well, pretty boring. I caught up with my hobby: reading. Oh, not medical books! I read novels and books of adventure and mishap. i bought two books by Eoin Colfer:

1. Artemis Fowl: the Lost Colony
A really delightful book. Can't quite believe that Artemis could get infatuated! yoohoo! This was the first book of the series that caught my eye years ago. And it's just now that I got myself one from a lesser price! And I was right. It's the best! A fast-paced, crazy, poignantly written book!
I highly recommend it!
I assure you: you'll love it too. :)

2. Artemis Fowl: Eternity Code
This book was written before Opal Deception, the book I acquired two years ago. Now that I have this book at a lesser price also... !@#$%^.^

I think you get the picture.
I really had fun reading it!
Artemis so genius!
I recommend this too.

Uhm, actually, I recommend Eoin Colfer's books.
This is second to Harry Potter.
Love it.

I'm really happy though. I never thought that I've reach a 3rd year here. And oh, it's JETH'S BIRTHDAY too!
Happy birthday!!
I wish that our internet connection won't be busted anymore...
And yes, I'll do a 3rd year special, and you'll be invited to enjoy the fun!

Agriculture products include rice, vegetables, corn, root crops, coconuts, fruit trees, coffee, cacao, tobacco and rubber. Livestock and poultry productions are locally sustained and require additional investments.

Mariculture farming in The Philippines

The local government is pushing for the extension of the fish port in Taytay Manobo in the municipality of Naga in order to expand its mariculture and fishing industries. The local economy is conducive to extensive mariculture, which is the farming of aquatic plants and animals in salt water. Thus, mariculture represents a subset of the larger field of aquaculture, which involves the farming of both fresh-water and marine organisms. The major categories of mariculture species are seaweeds, mollusks, crustaceans, and finfish.

Top 10 Amazing Facts About Dreams
from listverse.com

10. Blind People Dream
People who become blind after birth can see images in their dreams. People who are born blind do not see any images, but have dreams equally vivid involving their other senses of sound, smell, touch and emotion. It is hard for a seeing person to imagine, but the body’s need for sleep is so strong that it is able to handle virtually all physical situations to make it happen.
9. You Forget 90% of your Dreams
Within 5 minutes of waking, half of your dream if forgotten. Within 10, 90% is gone. The famous poet, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, woke one morning having had a fantastic dream (likely opium induced) – he put pen to paper and began to describe his “vision in a dream” in what has become one of English’s most famous poems: Kubla Khan. Part way through (54 lines in fact) he was interrupted by a “Person from Porlock“. Coleridge returned to his poem but could not remember the rest of his dream. The poem was never completed.

Curiously, Robert Louis Stevenson came up with the story of Doctor Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde whilst he was dreamin
 g. Wikipedia has more on that here. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein was also the brainchild of a dream.

Melodramatic Hobby
only a Bookish can Do

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.
~Charles W. Eliot

My parents introduced me to books at a very young age. The farthest memory that I've had of having a book in my little arms was when I was still 5 years old. It was a book of Astronomy, where pictures of planets and stars poked out of the kiddie book and caught my eyes. It marked the start of my liking toward the heavenly bodies and those stars beyond. It was the time that I've started to dream as an Astronaut.
But my fascination towards books did not stop there.
