We have just finished our duty weeks. My first week in CCMC was in the morning, and the next one was pm.
Week 1:
I was assigned in the OPD on my first week, and whoa, there were lots of people swarming in for consultation. There were mini wards in that department, and on the first day I was in the OB-Gnyne section. It was the busiest section that day. My first patient was a 19-yr-old pregnant woman (on her 8th month), and she was so tiny that she was tinier than me! She actually never took her eyes off me all the time, probably thinking,
"Shucks, she's younger than me. Why is she working here, so young?"
Heh heh.
The second day I was assigned in the Pediatrics section, where you could expect lots and lots of kids of various ages. Again, it was the busiest section, but then it was pretty fun.
On the third day, when Sir Ragay asked me on where i wanted to be, I automatically said, "Surgery section, sir." I've been looking forward to that mini ward for two days already, thinking that I could witness even minor surgeries. But I was not allowed inside because Sir won't let us assist. Brrrr. I understand, though. He's got his reasons. But the opportunity!! Kyuu... (takdan nko ni Ma Jo. hehe.)
